When you have completed your Multimedia Design or Computer Science course, you can go on to our Web Development course.

During the education, you will learn to work with the development of websites within the World Wide Web’s standards as a platform for applications and web content systems.

The Web Development course takes one and a half years to complete and builds on your Computer Science course or your Multimedia Design course.

The Web Development course is comprised of three semesters, each of which consists of four core fields. The course also includes an internship and a final exam project.

The programme is divided into the following core areas:

• Web development (Backend web development, and progressive web apps)
• Development environments
• Databases
• User Experience (UX)

INTERNSHIP

Your internship is in the third semester. You decide yourself if your internship is with a company in Denmark or a company abroad.

GO ABROAD

At SEA Business Academy, you have the opportunity to go abroad as a part of your education. You can choose between studying abroad for a semester or doing your internship abroad. Read more here

Studieordninger

You must have completed one of the following courses if you are going to apply for a place on the Web Development course.

 

You can also ask for a competence assessment on the basis of an academy profession programme or a diploma course.

Motivational essay

When you apply via Quota 2 or to one of our top-up programmes, we recommend that you send a motivational essay together with the application itself.

When you fill out your motivational essay, you MUST use this form. Please note that we only accept motivated applications where this form is used. Download the form, fill it out and upload it to your application.

After you have completed your Web Development course you can find a job in the IT industry, for example with companies in their development departments, or you can find a job with a software company. You can also go for a career as a self-employed web developer.

The following are examples of jobs you can find after having completed your web development course:

SU (State education grant) for foreign citizens (students)

If you are a foreign citizen, you must fulfil specific conditions in order to be granted equal status with Danish citizens and receive the state educational grant (SU).

While you are studying, you are eligible for SU. You can apply for this when you have been admitted to the education, but you should be aware that you cannot apply for SU until one month prior to the month from which you are eligible to receive your SU. If you begin your education later than the 20th in the month, you are eligible to SU from the following month. This means that if your begin your education on August 21st or later, then you are not eligible for SU until the month of September.
